Easy Lighting for Casual Creators: Better TikToks, Vlogs and Product Shots at Home
No studio needed. Simple pocket and small LED lights you can rent in Singapore to make TikToks, Reels, vlogs, livestreams and product shots look clean and bright, even in an HDB flat.
Why lighting matters more than the camera
Phones and small cameras look their best with good light. A small light in front of your face removes dark eye shadows, smooths skin, keeps colours true and lets the camera use a lower ISO, so footage looks sharper and less noisy. It is often the cheapest upgrade you can make to your content.
The simplest setups
One light, facing you: place a small light slightly above eye level and a little to one side. This alone fixes most talking-head videos. Window plus one light: sit facing a window and use a small light on the darker side to fill in shadows. Add colour: a pocket RGB light behind you, aimed at the wall, gives that moody coloured background seen in gaming and music content.
Which light to rent

Product and food shots
Use one soft light from the side and a white card or wall on the other side to bounce light back. Lower the room lights so the colours stay consistent. A coloured pocket light from behind adds a nice glow to drinks, skincare and gadgets.
Livestreams and online selling
Put a soft light in front of you and slightly above the camera. Keep it on a light stand so it stays put for the whole session. We also rent compact Kupo light stands and clamps if you have nothing to mount the light on.
