How we protect our gear
Every item is checked and cleaned between rentals, and most are fitted with protection so you can shoot without worrying about small everyday scuffs.
A note on coverage
The large majority of our gear carries a 3M vinyl skin and glass protection. A handful of niche items simply have no precut wrap sold for them, so those arrive clean, checked and padded in a pouch instead of skinned. Protection is fitted wherever a proper wrap exists for that model - we'd rather say so plainly than promise a skin that doesn't exist.
Cameras & lenses
- Most of our equipment is wrapped in premium 3M vinyl skins against everyday scuffs. A few models aren't wrapped simply because no wrap is made for them.
- Glass screen protectors on camera and monitor screens.
- Quality UV filters protect lens front elements.
- Most cameras come with SmallRig or Tilta cages or grips at no extra charge.
- First-party batteries only.
Phone rentals
- Sapphire lens guards over the camera array.
- Glass screen protector and protective case.
- PGYTECH quick-release strap, water-resistant AER pouch and USB-C cables.
360 & action cameras
- Every action and 360 camera comes in a full metal cage with glass screen protectors.
- 360 cameras have lens guards fitted over both curved lenses, which scratch more easily than ordinary lenses.
- A scratched lens guard is replaced at cost (S$20–S$70 depending on model) instead of the camera's own lens. Full details are in our rental terms.
Drones
- Every drone is CAAS-registered in Singapore, including sub-250 g Mini models.
Bags & paperwork
- Bags and pouches from AER, PGYTECH, DJI, JJC and Chrome Industries.
- Invoice & receipt available for business expense claims.
Questions
- Why does Arkework wrap its cameras and lenses?
- So gear arrives looking clean and renters don't have to worry about small everyday scuffs during a shoot. Most equipment carries 3M vinyl skins; some models have no wrap made for them.
- Do rental cameras come with screen protectors?
- Yes. Camera and monitor screens are fitted with glass screen protectors, and lenses carry UV filters on the front element.
- Are Arkework's drones registered?
- Yes, every drone is CAAS-registered in Singapore.
- Does every item have a vinyl wrap?
- Most do, but not all. A small number of niche items - mostly small accessories, audio and lighting gear - have no precut 3M wrap made for them at all, so they arrive clean, checked and padded in a pouch rather than skinned. We fit a vinyl skin wherever a proper wrap exists for that model.
