Video Lighting Rental in Singapore: Which Aputure, Amaran and Nanlite Light to Pick

A practical guide to renting LED video lights in Singapore, from pocket RGB lights to Amaran 300C and Ray 660c, plus softboxes, lanterns, fresnels, spotlights and stands.

Pocket and small lights

Best for phones, vlogs, product shots and colour accents. They run on battery, fit in a bag and are easy to hide in a scene.

Mid-size lights

The Aputure Amaran 60X is a bi-colour workhorse for interviews. The Ray 120C and Nanlite Forza 60C add full colour control. The Amaran F22C is a flexible flat light that is great for even, soft light in tight HDB rooms.

Powerful lights

The Amaran 200X and 300C light a whole room or act as a strong key through a big softbox. The Amaran Ray 660c is the brightest option for larger sets and events.

Shaping the light

Softboxes and domes (Light Dome III, Octodome 90cm and 120cm) make light soft and flattering for faces. A lantern (Amaran Lantern 90cm, F22 Lantern) spreads soft light all around, ideal for dinner scenes and groups. Fresnels focus light into a controlled beam. Spotlight projection lenses with iris (Aputure Spotlight SE, Nanlite PJ-FZ60) create shaped beams, gobo patterns and window effects. A 150cm umbrella is a quick, affordable way to soften a big light.

Stands and grip

Kupo CT-40MK C-stands hold heavy lights and modifiers safely. The Kupo Midi Click and Mighty Snap stands are lighter options. Super clamps and the Kupo Auto Pole mount lights in tight spaces without a stand. Apple boxes help with height for people and gear.

What comes with lights

Lights come with their own case, and lights that can get hot often come with complimentary Kupo leather gloves.
